Confucius, Siddhartha
Confucius believed he had the key to solving China's problem of disorder. He wanted a political position because he had ideas that could help. Confucius never got what he wanted which was to have a political position. After Confucius died his students collected his teachings in a book called Analects. Confucius felt that human society had to be this way: the father was superior to the son; the husband to the wife; the older brother to the younger brother. Siddhartha Gautama was a prince from Northern Indian State. He taught a small group of people what he learned, then the group became a community which called him Buddha the Enlightened One.
