Christendom and Byzantine Empire

The Byzantine Empire started in 527 C.E. the Emperor at that time was Justinian. He wanted to rule everything around the Mediterranean Sea but did not because of his short lived attempt to reconquer the empire. The Byzantine was a major force in the eastern part of Mediterranean.
The collapse of the Roman Empire in 476, the Germans took over the last of the Roman Empire in the West. Rome before had about one million people but it started to shrink and became 10,000 then people started to go their own ways.
